Concepts

Board: These are rooms which chat users or pair programmers join.

Users: programmers or names given to eclipse instance

In order to chat or pair program you need atleast one Board and two Users registered for that room.

Step 1: Starting the server

Go to Window --> Preferences

choose Syncshare Admin under "Sangam Preferences"

Click on the "Start Server" button. If server is started successfully you will see [1] a message, [2] the tabs below the button will get enabled and [3] the button will now say "Stop Server" .

Step 2: Create Board

Click on the "Board Admin"  tab. You can see a pre-created board PAIR in the board list.

To create new, enter the new Board Name - password (in the respective textboxes) and click "Add Board" . New Board will appear in the board list.

Step 3: CreateUser

Click on the "User Admin" tab. Existing boards will be listed in the "Board Name" combo, select any board and the users registered for that board will appear in the "User List". For eg: if you select PAIR, humpty-dumpty will appear in the list.

Select new board from the combo and then type desired userName-password and click on "Add User". If successfull, new user will come in the list. Add atleast 2 users.
